We Go Full Groundhog Day With Tommaso

It’s like he knew…

o look at his little choirboy smile, it would be easy to think that Burro 1889 wouldn’t melt in Tommaso Spennato’s mouth.

If, that is, you didn’t actually know the man.

The infamous gnarly frown. That wicked, wicked stare. And the way he might spit at ya.

So, it shouldn’t have come as too much of a surprise to find that, when it came to the good people of Greystones voting for their favourite coffee in the town, at least three quarters of the vote went to Tomasso’s little dark-side-of-the-street café.

Even though, Elvis knows, Greystonians have plenty of options beyond Caffe Delle Stelle when it comes to a fine cup of coffee.

Having won in 2015 and again in 2016, it was clear to everyone in the town that Tomasso was determined to win again this year. And anyone who didn’t want to wake up with the head of their pet hamster beside them in the bed had better not forget that.

So, it’s a win-win situation, kids. Tommaso gets to crack something approaching a smile across that great big Italian face of his, and all the town’s family pets can now return from hiding out in Kindlestown Woods to the comfort of their homes.
