I am writing to let you know that the Board of Management has completed the recruitment process for the new Principal and has appointed Ms Deborah Crean to the position.

I have to add that I am absolutely delighted with this news. Having worked extremely closely with Ms Crean in her role as Deputy Principal, I know first-hand just what a terrific person she is and what an outstanding principal she will be.

She is a natural leader, a wonderful administrator and knows all the little peculiarities of TCG very well. She will bring the much-needed change in management which I have been talking about this year, but at the same time provides a continuity and stability that will be very reassuring to all in the TCG community.

Ms Crean takes up her new role formally at the end of August, but she and I will be working closely over the summer to ensure a smooth transfer and transition.

I wish her every joy and success as she takes on this exciting new chapter of her career and know that you will all give her your fullest support in years to come.
