The Happy Pear’s New Happy Place

What a difference a year makes…

ith Rise At The Cove having become the new spiritual java joint of choice around Greystones, the Flynnstones have been keeping themselves busy just a tad outside of town.

At the new Happy Pear Farm, to be precise, where the boys plan on growing the bulk of their free range fruit and veg over the coming years.

Giving a shout-out on social media for people to join them on Saturday mornings, the lads quipped that it’s just a 15-minute walk from their Church Road HQ. But that’s only if you walk in a straight line across fields, gardens and booby-trapped building sites.

Besides, they fail to mention anywhere the actual location of The Happy Pear Farm, which would make that 15-minute walk to join them for a good root vegetable or two all the more difficult.

Having been many years in the works, the farm is situated on the old Sisters Of No Mercy convent grounds over in sunny Kilcoole, sold in 2017 and soon to also be home to a spanking new St Catherine’s Special School building.

And now, Stephen, Dave and silent-but-deadly brother Darragh are ready to unleash their latest Happy Pear venture – VEG BOXES!

“This has always been our goal,” the boys say, “to support the world we want to live in by making the healthy choice the easy choice. Choosing more local produce that’s grown without chemicals, you support nature and biodiversity, as well as your local community.”

Or, more specifically in this case, the part of local community known as The Happy Pear Farm. There are 3 different size boxes to choose from, delivered straight to your door still covered in authentic Happy Pear muck. Customers will also receive a weekly newsletter, with recipes, positive affirmations and pictures of rude vegetables. Along some new product ideas.
