No WiFi Celebrate First Anniversary

ure, it’s been a grand year for the North Wicklow Filmmakers gang, with shorts aplenty and friendships anew.

We reported on some of that work back in May, when The Debt was shot around sunny Greystones.

Well, No WiFi have been busy little filmmakers, having completed over 20 projects in the past 12 months.

Which is pretty darn impressive.

The group was set up by Bray actor Brian Matthews Murphy 1 year ago as an outlet for local filmmakers and actors of all levels of experience, to collaborate on projects.

To date we have completed more than 20 projects involving over 60 people. Our short films have been seen at film festivals such as The Berlin Flash Festival, Fastnet in Schull and March on Film in Dublin – where The Confessional, directed by Shane Conaty and written by Conor Waldron, recently won best screenplay.

Eagle eyed viewers have seen great local locations in our films, such as Dann’s Bar and The Hot Spot in Greystones, The Harbour Bar and The Esplanade Hotel in Bray, as well as all the great scenery that our county has to offer. New members are always welcome and we are always looking for new businesses to work with.

We are delighted to be partnered with The Mermaid Theatre, Bray, where you can watch our short films on the first Monday of each month, or you can check out our YouTube channel North Wicklow Film Makers here for our samples of our work, which is updated weekly.
