Down at the launch day for Barks’n’Bubbles in sunny Charlesland
Having started out 9 years ago purely as a dog grooming business, Barks’n’Bubbles grew out of Brian and Sophie’s increasing involvement with their customer’s pets, giving advice on everything from diet to exercise, to behaviour.
“Bottom line, we don’t stock anything here that we wouldn’t give to our own two dogs,” says Sophie.

this afternoon, there were plenty of both, as locals got the lowdown on the best chowdown for their four-legged friends from owners Brian and Sophie, whilst the dogs paced the aisles, wide-eyed agus excited, like kids who’d never been in a candy store before.
Which is understandable, given that it’s been five years since Greystones last had a such a place, the late, great Pets Corner sandwiched between Scuffils and Greystones Antiques in the history of that curved little premises by the train station.

By the time they settled into their Quinsborough Road HQ six years ago, the duo’s reputation had spread all across Wicklow, and beyond.
