Come with us…

Come with us…
s you take a look around what has become of Greystones’ once proud, once beautiful, once renowned La Touche
Hotel, you can’t help but imagine that, if these crumbling walls could talk, they’d probably say, ‘Hey, who the feck let this happen to me?’…
Thanks to local photographer Kristina, Greystonians can take one last walk through this crumbling landmark that was a home-away-from-home to generation after generation.
Because it had a bar.

How do you get tickets for the shining?
If only we had explained in the piece above that it’s Sunday, noon, that you put your name down here. You’re barred.
This building should always be busy with tourists, coach parties and business clients as well as an ideal wedding and party venue……what went wrong…..?
Passed this building now for a number of years and fail to understand how this hotel closed. Could be and still could be a little goldmine away from the city and so close to Wicklow hills in a beautiful location.
beats me. Leslie. I even worked there back in the day…:-)
So sad to see it going, but much better to see improvements being made, its now too far gone, just hope the new buildings blend in well not like our now destroyed harbour!!!
wishful thinking. every developer is an asshole
ISIS aren’t the only ones wiping out history.
In fact Blueshirts, Labour and Fianna Fraud have been wiping out history long before the CIA created ISIS. Remember Wood Quay, Carrickmines Castle and Hill of Tara.
