Another Fire At Style Bawn House

ccording to a neighbour, the fumes from the late night fire at Style Bawn House were particularly noxious.

Just what was burning, and how it started, has yet to be determined though.

What we do know is that the fire brigade arrived at 2am this morning to once again put out a fire at the much-loved but embattled protected Delgany building.

The previous fire was in December 2016, with the main culprit suspected as being Maguire & Patterson, given that the developers have been circling the protected structure for some years.

Style Bawn and the neighbouring Clara House went on the market in 2018, set on 13.9 acres and with full planning permission for 11 houses.

Naturally, that was never going to be enough for such a lucrative spot.

In a surprise move, the latest planning application for 141 houses on the property was recently rejected by Wicklow Planning.
