Today, Wicklow Minister met Wicklow businesses and famous chef Gordon Ramsay along with his crew who have been working and filming the new season of Next Level Chef in Ashford Studios.

Gordon Ramsay’s Next Level Chef  has been recording new episodes of an international cooking show in state of the art studios set in the a spectacular location in Ashford, Co.Wicklow.

Next Level Chef is a FOX Entertainment cooking show co-produced by an Irish independent production company BiggerStage and Studio Ramsay Global.

This new studio development is the biggest unscripted production hub in Ireland. The investment gone into this project is going to create long-term and business growth as well as create over 300 jobs locally.

In Ashford Studios, Minister Harris said, “The opportunity these studios present for Wicklow-based businesses is unmatched. It was thrilling to be in the studios today to meet the staff and crew producing the show as well as meeting the famous and world renowned chef Gordon Ramsay.

“I am delighted that FOX Entertainment chose to build their studio set in Ashford. They have invested millions of euros in developing a sustainable, purpose-built and state of the art sound stage which has already finished producing a US hit show and is now set to produce many more.

“This incredible studio will be of great benefit to local businesses who have already been working with the producers and growing their businesses.

“This also presents a great opportunity for Ireland to grow its TV production sector with Wicklow being centre stage.  

“On top of this, there is a great opportunity to develop the creative industry in Ireland here and to help drive the skills and talents of young Irish people working in this sector.

“As Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research Innovation and Science, this is something I am very much looking forward to and will back as much as I can.”
