eal Rescue Ireland have been doing all they can to make sure that pupping season goes swimmingly along our coasts.
And having recently rescued two grey seal pups, the gang are currently keeping a very close eye on our North Beach.
For the last few weeks, a seal pup has been nesting there.
With their mother keeping a very close eye nearby.
Seals prefer remote locations for pupping season but sometimes a strong current has other ideas. And the biggest concern in these situations are loose dogs, and the appeal wente out for anyone walking their pooch on or near the North Beach to keep Mutley on a lead.

Seal Rescue Ireland also posted warning signs in the area, for those smart people not online.
And now, Bill Malone has sent us a video of the seals’ stay on the North Beach cove, posted below.
And while we have you there, Lauren from the gang will be at Greystones Library on Saturday, October 12th at 10am for a family workshop, helping people learn more about seals and what we can do to protect them. Details here.
