he bould Lee has been in touch about The Mindful Kids Club, which is all about introducing mindfulness to children in fun and creative ways.
And giving their busy minds some inner space to breathe through stories, breathing techniques, music, mini-meditations plus arts and crafts.
Along with weekly classes, Lee is also hosting a summer camp at the beginning of July.
Here’s the lowdown…
Welcome to The Mindful Kids Club, where young minds find calm and creativity in a nurturing environment. Founded in 2021 by Lee O’Brien, an accredited mindfulness practitioner and primary school teacher, her mission is to provide children with the tools they need to calm their busy minds and embrace mindfulness in their daily lives.
At the Mindful Kids Club, the hope is that by practicing a little bit of mindfulness it will encourage a sense of calm, focus, and well-being in children. Their weekly classes, available in Delgany and Greystones, offer a fun and safe space where children can explore mindfulness through engaging activities and creative expression.
Lee’s expertise in both mindfulness and education ensures that each class is thoughtfully designed to cater to the unique needs of young learners. By introducing mindfulness practices early on, the classes aim to help children develop essential skills for emotional regulation, self-esteem, resilience and overall mental health.
In addition to our weekly classes, we also have a few places left in our Summer Camp 2024, running the first week of July.
Happening at St Laurence’s National School from July 1st to 5th, 9.30am to 2pm each day, the camp is aimed at 6-to-11yrs and costs €120 for the full five days.
