Ignite Relight That Spinathon Fire

t’s been a big week for Adam Brennan and the Ignite Fitness family in sunny Delgany.

It started with the lad being awarded the IMNDA 2024 Appreciation Award, and it ended with their latest Spinathon on Saturday raising over €100,000 for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Irish Cancer Society.

“Two great charities very close to my heart,” said Adam as he hit that €100,000 goal.

Then again, the Ignite gang have a habit of hitting their targets when it comes to raising money for these two very worthy causes, with €220,000 now the grand total after four years.

With more than 200 people taking part in this year’s Spinathon in St David’s (and 35 of these hardy souls going the full distance), Brennan says, “The five hours flew by. I got my energy from the crowd; everyone was just amazing, and the buzz in the room incredible.”

Given just how much this annual fundraiser has grown, Adam and his partner, Aideen, are thinking big for 2025.

“If someone out there will give me Croke Park, we’ll ignite the whole country…”
