Heeding That Siren Call

Hit it!

t was a Greystones family fun day that seemed to have been designed entirely by an excited 3-year-old boy.

With the Emergency Services Day seeing all of the town’s saviours descend upon the Éire Óg grounds for the day, there were coast guards, firemen, first responders, rescue boats, rescue trucks, even RESCUE HELICOPTERS!

Yep, all that hard work by local rescue and emergency services personnel over the last few months meant that this special day was not only an impressive display of power and precision, but, the kids got to be pretend heroes too, just for one day. 

Much fun was had by all, and the event also gave the people of Greystones a chance to say thank you. Whilst their kids had a grand day out for free too. Winning!
