ne of the town’s most popular annual hooleys returned on this sunny, rainy, bonkers Saturday, with rowing clubs from all over de country coming to compete at Greystones harbour.
And this year’s Greystones Rowing Club Annual Regatta promised to be another nail-biting, vein-popping affair.
Mainly because the Greystones gang haven’t been having the best of runs of late.
The draw was 8.30am, the cox met at 10am and the first race kicked off in the pouring rain at 9am.
And then, from Junior Men and Senior Ladies all the way through to Junior Ladies and the closing Senior Men, we’re pretty sure there were thrills agus spills.
We just don’t know who won what given that JB and the gang tend to be pretty crap at letting us know what’s going on. Maybe it would help if we started charging them for our day’s work…?
In the meantime, we have some mighty, mighty pics from the always-reliable John McGowan – full gallery here.
