As any fule around here will tell you, dogs are pretty much God’s greatest creation EVER.
Besides one particularly beautiful woman from Finland, of course.
Take a stroll around Greystones, and you’ll see smiling, happy faces alongside our four-legged friends, the latter very much aware that they have landed on their paws in such a town.
They’ve got the woods! The sea! The park! The discarded food!
Well, the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals –Ireland’s largest national animal welfare charity (with 17 affiliated members – are putting the emergency call out for funding during these difficult Covid-19 times.
These guys are so big-hearted, they even help cats. CATS!
Over to you, ISPCA…
We are greatly concerned to already see a shortfall in fundraising income due to the Covid-19 crisis. Our vital services are dangerously stretched at a time when many of our fundraising activities have been cancelled or postponed. But our life-saving work cannot stop. That’s why we’re launching an EMERGENCY APPEAL to help ensure all vital animal welfare services continue during this unprecedented crisis and beyond.
As essential frontline workers, ISPCA Inspectors are responding to emergency calls to our National Animal Cruelty Helpline on 1890515515 and our dedicated team of animal carers are expertly caring for hundreds of vulnerable animals in our rescue centres. Many more vulnerable animals will need to be rescued and cared for at our centres and for a longer period of time before they can be lovingly rehomed. Generous donations from kind-hearted animal lovers are critical at this time.
If you can, please make a kind online donation here to help the ISPCA so we can continue to save animals facing cruelty and abuse.
€15 Rescue Response could help to rescue animals suffering from neglect or cruelty and in desperate need of help. Your gift ensures we can reach those animals most at risk.
€25 Feed a Dog or Cat for a Month Once rescued and in our care you could help to provide a balanced diet to aid recovery for a healthy and happy new start in life.
€50 Veterinary Care could help towards life-saving emergency veterinary treatment for an injured animal in our care Your own gift amount – could help towards an average stay of 54 days of care, that an abused animal often needs to stay, to survive and recover after unspeakable abuse.
If you have already been in touch with a generous donation, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
