he weather was a tad on the feck-it side, but the rain stayed away, and that’s all that really mattered on the late summer get-together over in Farrankelly today.
Shaping up to be the main annual love-in at the Greystones estate, as always, this was all about the kids having a grand day out on the green.
And helping that happen were such sponsors as Michael O’Rourke Cabs, Nigel Doyle Window Cleaning, Ray’s Cabs, Debbie Neiland Organic Hair Salon, Philip Neiland Tiles, Councillor Stephen Stokes, John Brady TD and the man of every hour around of late, Sir Simon of Harris.
The organisers also want to thank those who donated on the day, including Farrelly’s Butchers, SuperValu Greystones, SuperValu Charlesland, Centra Eden Gate, Siobhan in Henry & Rose, Killincarrig Stores and Gerry Mitchell Butchers.
They wanted to give a special shout-out to Ciaran Hayden too, for the bouncy castles, and to DJ Hogie.
And our thanks to John McGowan for once again capturing all the craic on the day.
