he latest outdoor exhibition at The Boat Yard Gallery down by the harbour is arriving on Saturday, August 3rd and Sunday 4th.
And it’s another local artist, Adrienne Pope Fagan specialising in landscapes using water mixable oils and soft pastels.
Which seems to be working out pretty darn well.
Over to Adrienne…
I am self-taught and have been engaging with art in various forms since childhood. However, in recent years I have been able to devote more time and energy to my practice. I have exhibited paintings in various galleries and exhibitions throughout Ireland, including The Signal Arts Centre, The Mermaid Arts Centre and Ardgillan Gallery.
For me, painting is a way of expressing the joy and sense of aliveness I feel when I’m immersed in nature. Observing my surroundings is a type of meditation where all of my senses are engaged with the elements. I especially love to witness the play of light on land and sea and our ever changing skies.
I paint mostly landscapes, although I also enjoy exploring and experimenting with other subjects that I feel a connection to. My aim as an artist is to share my love of nature and our beautiful environment with others.
Running on Saturday, August 3rd and Sunday 4th 12pm-5pm. you can find out more about Adrienne Pope Fagan here, and follow on Instagram here, and discover more about The Boat Yard Gallery here.
