here was definitely come kind of fever taking over the dancers at this weekend’s Strictly For Greystones Community National School.
Normally mild-mannered folk such as Mark Barry and Ruairi O’Hanlon were suddenly transformed into hip-shaking, gyrating ladykillers.
It was like The Nutty Professor: The Musical. Only with gingers.
Yep, it was one hell of a party over at The Parkview Hotel on Friday night, with even the judges overwhelmed by the dance moves on display.
It’s not every day you see four full 10 scores at one of these Strictly nights. But that’s the level of boogie brilliance we were dealing with.
Just how good a night was had by all? Well, it took 40 hours for the organisers to send word as to who actually won on the night.
The Dancing Queen and King turned out to be the bould Rachel Rigley and the even boulder Mark Barry. Shimmying up in second place were Peter O’Sullivan and Nastassja Pretorius, followed closely by Fiona Toolan and Paul Murphy.
Well done to everyone involved, and to the sponsors – including Storm Recruitment, Éire Óg Greystones, Nikafit and the South Beach Clinic.
And a big, big thanks to Vlad Bodarev for these incredible pics…
