There’s going to be some celebrating up at Temple Carrig this week, with the Junior Boys having now added another Leinster Shield title.
This comes just two days after the Minor Boys snagged the same title in their category on Monday.
Luckily for us, coach John McGuinness has filed this report…
The lads were playing Ardgillan Community College out in Peamount United. It was a tense affair, and both teams had eliminated favourites for the competition along the way.
Conor Fulham got two goals and Cian Hynes – the Man Of The Match – scored a hat trick to secure The Shield with a 5-3 win over the Balbriggan school.
Nice. The winning team are, back row, left to right: Conor Fulham, Thomas McGlynn, Cameron O’Hara, Fionn Brauner (captain), Eoin O’Niall, Cian Hynes, James Nicholson and coach, John McGuinness. Front row, left to right, it’s Cian McManus, Charlie Stewart, Archie ‘The Farter’ Morrison, Jack O’Toole, Jack O’Sullivan, Paul Krummel, Daniel Healy and James Connolly.
