morning sun.
Every time you log onto Instagram or Facebook of a morning, at least 10 Greystonians have been down on the shoreline to greet the sunrise. And getting some beautiful shots to prove it.
Heck, the poor little ball of fire has even had to take out a restraining order on the smugrise swines, the Flynnstones.
With this in mind, we thought it might be wise to put all this morning glory in one place. Along with a few night fever shots too.

Some even go one better, and deliver a stunning time-lapse video of the whole affair, such as this Alan Currie creation from November 2016. Or in John McKiernan’s case, just bullet the blue sky down at the South Beach.
A special mention for work experience photo-journalist Tara Wortley too, who headed down to the harbour one fine morning in December 2021 to talk to the early bird sun worshippers.
